Staff couldnt be more helpful or do more for you, rooms very spacious and romantic with jacuzzi in the corner. we visited all the restaurants there some are a bit fancy but all very nice. we had a moonlight massage on the beach which wasnt worth the money for us as u had ur head down the whole time and couldnt see the view! All in all the hotel is the best i have been to and we are returning for our anniversary in June this year for another 2 wonderful weeks! if any1 has any questions or is going round about that time feel free to email me i also have loads of photos! mrs Kydd  Name Messages Name : Stacy Email Address : ssherum@yourstarnet.net Country : U.S. Saturday, 02 February 2008 11:09 PM     My husband and I, along with another couple just returned from spending 4 nights at the EDSS this January.   We were both celebrating our 10 year anniversary.  It really was amazing!   The food was wonderful, the service was excellent and the resort itself was beautiful.  It is a smaller resort than most.  I think I actually saw more employees working there then I saw other vactioners that week.  We were told it was 100% full but it didn't seem like it at all.  People did go alittle overboard saving beach beds and lounge chairs on the beach, but after 4 pm the beach crowd got a little lighter.  The live music they had in the evenings was really great too.   Tipping is not necessary, but VERY appreciated!  Take lots of $1 bills along for this purpose.  Also a little note on phone use....We had small children at home and checked in on them everyday.  We used a prepaid international card but were still charged a $5 fee per long distance call.  Not a huge deal, but was never mentioned until checkout.  Upon arriving you meet with your conceirge for resort information.  They do talk about an option with their resort that is LIKE a timeshare.  I think we were offered $100 of spa credit if we attended an hour and a half meeting.  We were not willing to give up that much of our vacation time.  I became a little ticked when our friends were offered $150 and another couple we talked to where offered $200 credit for this opportunity. We did not upgrade to a swim up room.  I don't regret that.  You don't spend a lot of time in your room anyway.  Our room was on the third floor, overlooking the palm trees out to the beautiful water. Something else to keep in mind...all the water in your room and in the pools were salt water.  Bottled water was available in your rooms.  Chlorine bothers my husband, so this was a welcomed thing for us! The service and staff were fantastic, always a bright smile and friendly attitude. All 5 restaurants were 5 star, very fresh, great portions and absolutely delicious! Rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious....very romantic. Adult only is the only way to go, no crying babies/toddlers while on vacation....it was heaven. I would recommend paying the extra $$ and taking a poolside room, they are perfect. Next time, a definite updgrade for us! Overall, all we can say is book 2 weeks as one week is not long enough at this wonderful place. Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Der Service war hervorragend egal wo. Die Zimmer immer tiptop gepflegt. Das einzige was uns fehlte war der Karibikstrand, wobei man sagen muß, daß es diesen wohl mal gab, bevor Wilma seine Kraft an den Stränden von der Rivera Maya ausgelassen hat. Aber durch die besondere Atmosphäre im El Dorado Seaside, hat es am Ende auch nicht gestört. Ein kleiner Strandspaziergang und man war an einem sehr schönen Karibikstrand. Best Karisma property we have stayed and incredible service. Love the property and the swim-up suites are fabulous and worth the upgrade. When you go, find our friendly pet, big Isaac (the iguana) along the path above the waterway outside the 3600 suites and make sure to e-mail us a pic of him at txbuckeye@grandecom.net. Isaac and his buddies love sunning along the path between Noon and 2 PM. They would love a slice of apple. Beach beds were great and the ones closest to the main pool along the beach get a great wind in the afternoon. No need to venture into Cancun for couples ... this has it all. Romantic and very relax. The water of the ocean is turquoise and clear, you can snorkel all day if you want, they will give you snorkels, but if you bring your own is better.the food was excellent the service very friendly and willing to serve you and make your stay easy. They will bring you sandwiches and tacos to the beach around noon, so if you didn´t feel like going to a restaurant it was very convenient. We had a wonderful romantic dinner at the beach ,and a couples moonlight  massage and it was fantastic. Definetly we will come back , Highly recommended!
